Robyn Erbesfield-Raboutou

Owner and Director

Robyn is one of the best female climbers in the world. She has won the US Championship five times and is also the winner of four World Cup Titles. Although she has coached climbers since 1993, Robyn officially retired from competition in 1996 to become a mother of two. During this time she also served as head coach for the USA Climbing Team. Previously she has served USA Climbing as a board member and as a chairperson for the adult USA Climbing, which is responsible for competition information. Robyn has worked with children for over 15 years as a personal trainer specializing in working with junior elite athletes. Now her focus is on Team ABC, the 2011 National Champions.

Robyn continues to specialize in personal training and has given over 3000 private lessons at facilities around the world including the Boulder Rock Club, a nationally ranked teaching facility. Robyn, along with her husband Didier Raboutou, also started a summer camp for children in France called "Planete Grimpe" - in which over 100 children participate per week.

Robyn created ABC Kids Climbing from her extensive involvement in the climbing arena and her passion for working with children in an athletic capacity. As a mother of two and influential coach, personal trainer and motivational speaker, she sees the significant value of providing children with the space and the tools to make decisions, learn and develop confidence in their abilities through movement. Adam Brink

Adam is an AMGA Certified Single Pitch guide, a teacher of 10 years, a climber of 17 years and the head coach of the ABC Advanced Climbing Team and the Horizons Climbing Club at Horizons K-8 Charter School. He has climbed extensively throughout the United States and in Canada, Mexico, France and England.

While he enjoys all types of climbing, his favorite discipline is pushing his limits on multi-pitch traditional climbs. On the rare day when Adam is not guiding, coaching or teaching, you will find him playing on the mental test pieces of Eldorado Canyon or (if he’s really lucky!) on the big walls of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

Paige Noble

Paige moved to Boulder to attend the University of Colorado, and started climbing and in the last 20 years she hasn’t stopped! As soon as the ABC program opened she enrolled her kids so they could learn to climb safely, effectively and have fun. She and her family of five are found climbing all over Colorado. Recently her 10 year old daughter, Stella Noble, broke the record and is now the youngest child ever to climb The Diamond route on Longs Peak, a local 14er (an iconic Colorado mountain higher than 14,000 feet). What the Nobles like to do better than anything else is take family climbing trips wherever and whenever they can. Her three children compete with ABC and Paige is an instructor in the ABC program.

Gregory Locker

Over ten years ago Gregory was introduced to rock climbing and it has been at the core of his life ever since. Gregory has traveled extensively throughout North America and as far a field as Australia and Asia in order to seek out rich experiences in the vertical world. In hopes of extending the value of climbing beyond his own life Gregory began leading climbing trips for young people throughout the Mountains of North Carolina and New England. With many years experience working with children in a variety of educational environments Gregory has moved to Boulder with the utmost commitment to turning children onto the beauty of climbing, learning and life in general.

Garrett Gregor

Garrett began climbing in Southern California at the age of 14. Only two years later he became a routesetter at his home gym Hangar 18 in Upland, Calif. Two years later he was a regular competitor on the adult pro circuit. Garrett competed in several national competitions including ABS Nationals and the Mammut Bouldering Championships. In 2009 and 2011 Garrett represented Team USA at the Bouldering World Cup in Vail.

Garrett is only 5 feet 5 inches, making him one of, if not the shortest, adult male competitors in professional climbing. His ape index is +1.5″ which is helpful, but still allows him to only reach 5 feet 7 inches. Garrett is very strong and has climbed up to V13 outside, but has yet to win a big competition -- he knows someday he’ll make it happen.

Garrett is a notable competitor, and is extremely technically proficient. He’s always willing to try something new and is often the first (or only) competitor in the field to perform a tricky dyno or strange technical move. His height and technical ability make him a great coach and setter, especially for young kids as he understands what it is like to not be able to reach and has developed many strengths and techniques to cope with the challenges of his own height.

Mike Auldridge

Mike has been a climber for the last 18 years and a coach at Team ABC for the last year. Michael loves to boulder with a focus on dynoing. Not once but twice Michael earned the title of Dyno-champion at the Teva mountain games freestyle Dyno comp in Vail.

Michael combines his love of travel with his passion for climbing. Several of the eclectic areas Michael has visited specifically to climb include: Fontainebleau, France; Sheffield, England; Squamish, B.C. Canada; The Cayman Islands; and the British French Indies just to name a few. Michael enjoys his work with Team ABC and looks forward to coaching these young athletes at the National Championships in Colorado Springs this March and beyond.

Katherine Weadley

Business Director and Developmental Climbing Specialist

In my forties, I'm one of the oldest instructors at ABC Kids Climbing. Before I had children I earned a Master's Degree in Library & Information Science, and was a reference librarian at CU. However, I have been with the ABC program since 2005 and it is a lot of fun. I love to instruct, coach, give private lessons, be at our ABC birthday parties and climb with the kids during summer camps.

I'm a kid at heart with two children of my own who love to climb.  It's wonderful to watch kids grow in strength and confidence as they climb. Climbing works on both the brain and the body and prepares kids for challenges. ABC is energetic, child-focused, and fun for everyone and I really enjoy being a part of it. Every child is unique and we honor that. I have a lot of experience with special needs kids, so if you have one (or two) I'd love to hear from you at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
